Is it really all that important — who you are and what you believe? When it comes to God, getting born again, and what is or is not “a part of walking the walk” – does it matter?
What is it, really, — getting “saved” and, following Jesus or following whatever? Does it matter?
Do you care? Do you really try to understand God’s words to us in the Bible? Does it matter?
I say, “Hell yes!” Heaven is real (and so is Hell), and what we believe, and say, and do – has eternal consequences.
From the article Bein’ Bad or Good.
Whatever you have been, or not been, it is possible now to be approved by Him in His Court of Justice. “Good or bad” is not the issue. The issue is: your choice.
He wants you to come to Him – just as you are. And then He will change you – and make you ready for His Kingdom. When do you figure you will accept Jesus? IT’S TIME! Now. Because this life is our only chance at salvation. Tomorrow was never promised.
It’s not a matter of what you’ve done, bein’ bad or good. It is a matter of: what will you do with His Son, Jesus. It matters because only Jesus saves. No other god, no other anything. Only Jesus, because only Jesus is truly God.
Do you really want to serve anyone or anything other than the One True Creator God?
Since God is in charge, there is no real choice but one.

Of course there are some “grey” issues that, in the long run, are not worth disputing and getting all riled-up about. But, basic biblical faith matters! What we teach others around us, through words or through lived-out testimony… really does matter.
Our faith in Christ needs to be rock solid, with strong foundations in the Bible. Or do you believe that “It’s all good!” If THAT is what you believe, then there is no need to care about what you think, what you do, or anything – except worry about the law over your land. You can do whatever “under God” if God also says “Whatever! It’s all good”. But that’s not what I read in His Word, the Bible.
I believe that God is Holy, and He has standards. He asks us to come to Him, in all our sin and evils, and acknowledge Jesus as God, and repent. But He wants all of who we are, not just bits and pieces.
Jesus said this in Luke 10:27:
“…You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
He requires “sincerity and truth“, or He will say, “Depart from Me, I never knew you.”
He has been in touch with us humans since the beginning of time. He created us, starting in the Garden of Eden… and here you and I are – and God is still in touch. He sent Jesus, His Son, to die on our behalf so that His legal system in Heaven could legally declare us “Forgiven”.
Getting accepted by a holy, all-powerful God has got to matter. He is in charge, not you, not me, not the good ol’ USA, not a one world government. And so, it matters what God has set as His standard for entering His Heaven. Is your entrance into Heaven sure?
Our thinking must be guarded from falsehoods. So what hood are you in? Do you have an aversion to truthhoods? Are you satisfied with falsehoods? Or do you really want to get your life straight with God? Being faithful is not a one time thing. “Those who are faithful to the end – are faithful over time, little-by-little” (Quoted from: Being faithful, little by little).
Does it matter – what you believe? Damn right it does. 1
