About Being Apostate… following “another gospel”

Contradicting Jesus

February 2, 2022 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

It doesn’t matter who you think you are, God is not impressed.  He will judge all of us on an equal basis. And when God calls a sin, “sin”, it is. How can a deep heart and intelligent mind become so painfully befuddled, to the point that one comes to actually believe that Jesus is okay with sin? So what in the world are people thinking:  Calling themselves “Christians” but contradicting Jesus?

Pretending their word is God’s word

January 12, 2022 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

It’s crazy how so many have tried in the past, and are still doing it – “re-interpreting” or discovering some “personal or special” interpretation (2 Peter 1:19-21),  attempting to legitimize a new creative way to have it their way.  If that is happening in your church – don’t believe it.  It is our “job”, our responsibility, as followers of Christ – to use the Bible to ascertain what is of God and what are “the words of a puny human” (we are all “puny humans”).  Huge difference. I personally do not want to hear some puny opinions when I go to church.  I want to hear God’s “word of truth”.

What “gospel” are you into?  The Bible says there is no other gospel that saves us for all eternity – except the original Gospel of the early church apostles.  None. The great falling away from the faith, predicted by Paul, is happening right now in the form of Bethel and other NAR-related church doctrines.

Mike Oppenheimer Testimony

August 1, 2021 by admin Leave a Comment

Mike Oppenheimer says: During these times I also experimented with various religions and the occult. We thought we were becoming enlightened. Then…Johanna spoke and I was relating to a lot she had experienced, especially in regards to the Ascended Master “Jesus”. Then she spoke about another Jesus – the true Jesus of the Bible, which came as a total shock. I never thought there could be false Jesus’ parading around as the real one. They were only Jesus by name but not the One who is God come in the flesh. We heard the gospel explained and dedicated our lives to the Lord, repenting and asking Christ to forgive us.

False teachers and prophets think of themselves as so special and bright. They “subtly introduce destructive heresies.” “By an act of human will” they make Scripture say what they very well want it to say.  And shallow thinkers follow after them.

Why suckling with the mother cat does not make the piglet a kitten

June 1, 2021 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

Scripture uses farmers terms. It calls true believers “wheat”, and fake believers “tares”.  A tare is a plant that grows up with wheat, but is not true wheat.

Tares are like the piglet that suckles with the kitten’s mother cat.  The piglet thinks he’s a kitten because he likes the milk.  But he’s only a pig, not a cat. The same is true of folk who like the idea of being blessed by Christ, but never yield to Him.

Jesus is all man, and all God, for all time

March 16, 2021 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

Evidence of an intelligent Designer God

The DNA of Jesus must look similar to ours, but He is both God – and man. Jesus was born on earth – as all man, and all God – for all time. Jesus most certainly did NOT at anytime give up His divine nature, His “Godness”.  He was divine throughout all of His 33 years living on earth as a man. Jesus was and is now: totally God, and totally man.

Mark them which cause divisions …and avoid them

February 5, 2021 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

It is totally biblical to name names and call-out false teachers, phoney baloney prophets, and false movements. We are encouraged to know well the doctrines of the Bible, so that we ourselves are capable of recognizing when teachers  go astray from them.  We are warned that teachers will go beyond what Scripture so clearly states, (giving us “Beyond the Burger” varieties).

Seeing clearly now

October 15, 2020 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

Seeing clearly now in these End Times is so very difficult.  Misinformation floods our mind threatening to throw our thinking every which way. Sound doctrine, what God has made so very clear for us – gets distorted by false teachers.  And the call of the wild beckons.  The enemies of our soul are always camping at the gates. To remain faithful to the end, we followers of Jesus must regularly examine ourselves, ask penetrating questions deep inside our insides.

The Passion Translation (TPT) and why not to use it

September 7, 2020 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

The translation done by Brian Simmons, called The Passion (TPT), is not a faithful translation of the original.  It is very much fraught with misleading words Simmons adds into the text (…”it is at least 50% longer than the original”).  Good Christians should want to go to more accurate translations, and not ever use this deviant version.  It has been so adulterated that it is not God’s Word.

Bentley – News on Todd Bentley

The charismatic movement has been troubled by unbiblical practices and teachings. I am amazed at how folks are so easily mislead. “Many have exchanged the truth for a lie and chosen experience over content.” Look and examine and see, and compare with what the Bible teaches.

False Prophets

“You may be asking yourselves, “How can we tell if a prophet’s message really comes from the Lord?”” -Deuteronomy 18:21. How can we distinguish the true from the false?

No Faith In Heaven

Inexplicable Joy

Heaven is a joyful place. That is hard for me to imagine… Everywhere I look around me, I see so many problems, issues and unresolved conflicts. But in heaven, they won’t exist anymore. There will only be joy because my sins have been paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ.  One of the main things that describes being in heaven is JOY. The word “joy” has a much deeper meaning than just happiness. To be happy can change so quickly. It can come and go in a moment. But joy…

Time as it really is Since Heaven is not regulated by time, the passage of time on earth is a separate event. *We will all step out of time together – into God’s presence, with no “time lag”,…The time it takes to go from earth to God's presence - is instant. There is no waiting around in the next dimension for earth time to finish, no midway point of gathering, no Purgatory. It will be an instantaneous experience for all mankind that ever lived. For many, what the Bible teaches is generally okay, but, when it comes to certain specificities, what it says, they reason, needs to be interpreted in the light of today's enlightened realities. Tomorrow
Tomorrow is the fool’s day. Tomorrow may never come. I may not get older. This may be it. 3.18.2017
Vortex of Good & Evil As mere humans, we are engulfed in the vortex of battle between good and evil. We must remember – it is God who created us, not we ourselves.  1.25.2017
What God has going on with us here on this planet.

Cognitive Dissonance
...that extreme feeling of discomfort some folks get when their core belief is challenged or contradicted. What they think (“cognitive”) is rattled (dissonance) by what other evidences purport to be true – in direct conflict with what they hold to be “true”.  8.14.2018
Actually Try To Do The Deed 3.23.2016   “It’s not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled or where the doer of deeds could have done better."

What God Did for Man
…The Simple Gospel of Jesus Christ. God walked the earth as a man. Have you ever wondered how it all got started – the universe, the earth, nature, animals, you and your “like”, mankind? 2.19.2018
