To say you have it, but then don’t walk it – means you lie and “do not practice the truth”, according to 1 John 1:6. You think THAT saved you?
Your angels in Heaven are looking out for you. Fear not.
What do you know about the presence of angels in your life? Hebrews 1:13-14 says they serve us.
Verses I have written – poetry, satire, and make-believe
These are verses of poetry, satire, and make-believe written to highlight Truths in the Bible.
Who But You Oh Lord
Who can I look to for this day? Who but You oh Lord. I trust in Jesus. He is my Friend.
Living it Deep
What will it be – an end without Christ? I choose to end with Christ as Savior.
Love ’em in Jesus’ Name
Being saved by Jesus, being with Jesus, loving Jesus… teaches us how to love others as He Himself loved. The love of Jesus extended to all around Him, bar none.
Pray joyfully with thanks to God for He is good
Entering into prayer is a joyful experience. Because I am His sheep. I’m in His pasture. He is my Shepherd. All is good with my soul.
What you love more than God
What do you love a lot, really-really-a-LOT? Does it take you away from God?
Parable of the Fig Tree was fulfilled in 1948
The Fig Tree parable (in Luke 21:29-36) is Jesus’ prophecy that points to the rebirth of Israel – fulfilled in 1948. What a miracle that was! And it started a countdown to when Jesus would come back to earth.
Better is thinking with God’s Word
Are you “an abandoned construction site… piles of stuff, bits and pieces strewn around, ugly windows gaping holes….” Thinking with the thousands around you, with their traditions deep in media, popular, sung and preached? Better is thinking with God’s Word.
Get on God’s side – and be in the truth
We know “God’s side” by what He communicated to us in the Bible. We get on God’s side by following the Jesus of the Bible. Don’t be deceived away from the Truth, away from salvation in Jesus.
God did not speak in riddles with the vision to John on the Isle of Patmos
Are you religiously following vision-riddled thoughts imagined by mere puny humans – or “the true and exact words of God” (Revelation 19:9)?
Choose loving habits – one by one by one
Every breathing moment is a new moment to choose to be loving to others – or not. I do not have to be what I was in the past. I don’t have to be what I was this morning! I can choose to confess and repent — and be loving now. I’m developing habits of love!
What Scripture supports and defends and we should also
Life issues are for all of us to talk about. Issues we face are not “political”. Being righteous is not “politics”. Let’s not label everything as “politics”. Living is not political – it’s life. Enough already!
Conform or Resist the pressures
Can people in the dark see your light. You standing up for Jesus? Standing strong against evil is a norm in Christian living. I want to be a more righteous person. I refuse to conform to the enemies of our soul. How about you?
Do you know yourself well …enough?
How well do you know your heart, your “self”? Do you know yourself well enough to truely align your heart with God’s heart?
God is “faithful and absolutely trustworthy” to you in your salvation
God does not save the unlucky person, even by His marvelous grace, who does not follow Him in obedience. You don’t just waltz in, say “Okay God. Looks good”, then walk out and do your own thing. The Godman Jesus said “Follow Me”. The concept of getting saved without then obeying and following Jesus is not in the Bible.
I’m Christian because He chose me
The two doctrines are true: He chooses us (1 Peter 2:9), and we have a choice to make: “Whosoever will may come”. Have you chosen Him for yourself? Only God is Good. Choose to make that “eternal divide” permanent – for goodness sake.
Dealing with the sins of others
There are plenty of sins to go around. And it is so easy to condemn others. But we grieve God when we condemn a sinner. So, what’s a better way to go?
The Holy Spirit only resides in true believers
There is a rather chilling phenomena happening right now, these days of what Jesus called “the end of this age” in which we are lucky to be living now. This phenom is: so-called Christians are not actually real, true Christians.
Get your 2:2 on!
Revelation 2:2 says we should not tolerate those who call themselves “special messengers, personally chosen representatives, of Christ”. Do you?
Taking hate to Holy Heaven? Your ways, your views?
Do you plan to take your hate, your ways, your views – to Heaven? Have you thought that through? How would that play-out, exactly?
Oh immeasurable joy of arrival
I am not seeking death, but I rather prefer to be there, sooner than later. In the meantime, I will keep fighting deep in “the good fight”, holding firmly to Christ my Hope.
What is your brand?
What are you known for? That is your brand. Will God accept your confession — with that brand? God will reject all but those with the brand of Jesus.
When difficult times assail us
In times of trouble – God is calling us to turn to Him for help. Whatever our need, God is always saying Turn to Me. Of course not all times of trouble are from the Lord. But Scripture does teach us that God sometimes brings us difficult experiences in order to cause us to turn to Him (1 Corinthians 10:11-13).
Those who like it but don’t live it
God wants us all to be saved. But He requires we back up our talk with our walk. Are you a posing as Christian? Got the Chutzpah of a Wannabe? Are you living for Jesus, or for …something else?
The most important thing when you are rich
“I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live….” (Deuteronomy 30:19). Have you chosen Life?
Speaking with love about what is true and what is false
If we carefully read Scripture, we are sure to see horribly false teachings are rampant in many churches today. They form a NARcissistic gospel. It is incumbent upon us to warn others of the actual false teachers and their false teachings. Paul and John and Jude warned about this (2 Corinthians 11:4). Let’s examine where Jude urges us to “contend for the faith”, “fight strenuously for the faith”, defend the faith.
Quick Quiz – What are we to do habitually…according to Jesus?
Doing anything habitually is quite a challenge. We must really truly want to! What are we to do “habitually” – according to Jesus?
