1. Instant Forgiveness.
God forgives me in that very moment:
1 John 1:9 (AMP)
“If we [freely] admit that we have sinned
and confess our sins,
He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises],
and will forgive our sins
and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness
[our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].”
2. Condemnation Voided.
All condemnation over me is declared null and void. [Romans 8:1] I no longer will ever be condemned by God for any sin. Never Ever Again.
His powerful justice system declares me free. God takes me out of the “condemned” and into the “set free forever”. [Romans 8:1] We may still pay the consequences of sin at times in this life, but we are – in this world, already changed forever.
3. Legally Declared Perfect.
God, the Great Judge, declares me perfect in His sight and welcomes me into His Kingdom forever.
–Colossians 3:3
“For you have died
and
your life
is hidden with Christ
in God.”
4. Promised Eternal Life.
God promises me eternal life. – John 3:16
5. His Forever Child – Now.
I can know that I am His forever child, now.
“These things I have written
to you who believe
in the name of the Son of God,
so that you may know
that you have eternal life.”
– 1 John 5:13
6. Eternity Starts at Salvation.
I begin now to live eternally as His child. (The Scripture passages are in “present tense”. Present tense is now, not later in eternity.)
7. Made Brand New.
God makes me a brand new creature. I am not the same person now. – 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 See: That Moment In Time
8. All Things Become New.
All things become brand new to me. All that I am, all my perspectives on life, my focus in life… are changed, and begin growing in me. – 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
9. Adopted By the King of Kings.
God adopts me as His child. I am made a child of the King of Kings. – Ephesians 1:5; Romans 8:15; Romans 8:23; Romans 9:4
10. Holy Spirit Lives in Me.
God seals my salvation with the immediate infilling by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit resides in me now, from that moment on. My present body is His temple. – 1 Corinthians 3:16; 2 Corinthians 6:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Ephesians 2:21.
11. Nothing Can Take Me Away.
God promises that nothing can take me away from Himself once I am made a new creature in Him. Not now, not later when I sin, not – ever. Never Ever. – Romans 8:31-39. Read: Never Ever Again.
Synopsis of Romans 8:35-39: (Read the entire chapter for more depth.)
“Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ?
… in all these things we are more than conquerors
… neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
… nor things present and threatening,
… nor things to come,
… nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth,
… nor any other created thing,
will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
12. He Holds Me Safely in His Hands.
I can live peacefully and with extreme confidence, because I am His child, and He holds me safely in His hands. Jude 24-25
13. I Can Die Peacefully.
I can die peacefully, because I know God Himself made me His child and I am going to heaven the instant my life here ends. 2 Corinthians 5:5-9; Psalm 116:15; Luke 23:39-43; 1 Corinthians 15:52; Philippians 1:21.
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” – Philippians 1:21
The prime example of simple salvation in Christ is in Luke chapter 23:
The Thief on the Cross Hanging With Christ.
