We are immortal.
From the very beginning, before the creation of the universe and earth and mankind – God planned for mankind to be immortal. Adam and Eve were created immortal, but because of sin — death became the norm. But we all will be “resurrected” and brought before God – to restart our immortality.
God had a plan for the ages way before the ages started! The Bible says He even knew you and me before Creation!
All that has transpired from then till now and into eternity, was all foreseen by Him, and planned for by Him, brought into existence by Him, and somehow guided along by Him. God made events happen, and/or stopped events from happening – for He has always been a mover and a shaker, really actively into His Creation.
God foreknew the disobedience of Adam and Eve, of our impending condemnation for sin. The Son of God foreknew His coming sacrifice on the cross to undo that condemnation.
God is calling us to Himself. He has created all the good things and all the future perfections – for all of us. Have you responded? He knows who will not seek Him, and those who will, those whose names will be written in the Book of Life, and the missing. He knows those who will die rejecting His free offer of forgiveness, remaining dammed as they pass the portals.
God designed and brought into existence every baby, boy and girl, brown and red and yellow, black and white. They are precious in His sight. Each one of us is. He Himself died on a cruel cross to make His forgiveness legal.
He created us as “eternal beings”. And thus we will ever live: immortal. We each will live either…
(1) eternal under condemnation and wrath,
or
(2) eternal under His forgiveness and blessings.
Have you ever imagined living forever damned? Hell is forever, reserved for rebellious Lucifer and his demonic forces – and all who left earth’s time frame still under condemnation. I just can’t grasp it – it’s so huge, to be FOREVER without God’s goodness.
God made us eternal creatures.
- He wants to reconcile us sinners to Himself so that He can bless us forever. That’s His love.
- But He has damned all sinners – because of sin. That’s His Holiness and Justice.
One way or the other we will forever live with the consequence of our response to God’s offer to get out from under His legal sentence condemning us. We all leave this earth, by God either…
1. Remaining un-yielded to Christ.
or
2. Having yielded to Christ in sincere repentance.
Have you asked God to reveal Himself to you? Have you talked to God, ever? Have you talked to God, confessing your need of forgiveness? Have you actually bowed inside your mind and yielded your will to Him? Have you acknowledged Christ as God-come-in-the-flesh, Lord of all… and asked Him to forgive you and make you His new creation in Christ?
If you do that, sincerely, you will be forgiven, made brand new inside, and you will follow Him and His Word, and learn to daily speak with Him as you learn to truly obey Him, and you will know that you have eternal life.
Make today your day of new birth. Tomorrow may never be granted you.
