God is able to see into the innermost parts of your heart. He knows what you feel. He knows what you want. He knows your thoughts. Even before you speak a word — He knows what you are going to say!
Matthew 9:4
And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, “Why are you thinking evil in your hearts?
Mark 2:8
Immediately Jesus, aware in His spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves, *said to them, “Why are you reasoning about these things in your hearts?
John 2:25
and He did not need anyone to testify concerning man [and human nature], for He Himself knew what was in man [in their hearts—in the very core of their being].
Acts 1:24
They prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know all hearts [their thoughts, motives, desires], show us which one of these two You have chosen
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Psalm 139: verses 2-4
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You understand my thought from afar.
3 You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, O Lord, You know it all.

2 Corinthians 5:11
…we are plainly known to God [He knows everything about us]
Jesus Knows My Thoughts
The fact that God is this way, has many implications for us all:
1. He knows me intimately. Who else knows me so well!? Couple this truth with the love of God for me – and I am so so at peace.
- I am moved to confess my sins, since He already knows.
- I am moved emotionally, since it is such an intimate thing to have God inside my very thoughts!
- I am comforted, knowing He knows and understands and cares.
2. In Him, I need never feel alone. Have you felt alone and lonely? Sure thing. But I know He cares about me. He listens to me. He understands me. He never misunderstands me. I can be totally open and frank with God (since He already knows!).
3. I can pray inaudibly. This has given me faith to pray “mental prayer” — in my mind, inaudibly, knowing that God knows my thoughts – and thus hears me as I speak to him silently in my mind – in prayer.
If He knows my thoughts (yes!), then, every thought I direct to Him is understood by Him to be my prayer to Him. I need not voice it audibly.
Actually, voicing our prayer is kind of redundant, since the thought itself is “heard” by Him before we turn it into sound! Although there are benefits of voicing our prayers, most definitely, it is totally fine with God that I silently speak to Him inside my mind.
If I speak to Him thus in private, the prayer is no less valid than if I were to speak it out loud.
4. Self-talk can be God-talk. All that self-talk we all engage our minds in throughout the day? We can direct it to conversations with God. That is just so totally awesome!
Speaking to God silently inside your mind is “God-Talk”… praying to God without voicing it
a. It’s healthier than just talking to yourself. Transform your inner life – by directing your thoughts to God in prayer. Make your self-talk… God-talk! Realize that He promises to hear us and cares totally about what we are going through day-to-day, moment-by-moment.
b. A person has better mental, emotional and spiritual health – when your inner thoughts are constantly directed to God.
c. I understand things better when I talk to God in my mind. It is healthy to when I pass everything to God in prayer this way: My life, my circumstances, my trials, my struggles. My joys, my sorrows, my longings, my desires. My hopes, my fears, my dismay, my alleluias. My sins: my angers, my lusts, my hatreds…. My lack of trust in Him.
d. My every waking moment full of life’s thoughts. God knows them all, and I cultivate habits of prayer to Him in the privacy of my mind. It’s a totally healthy thing.
5. There are no secrets kept from God. He is not just “capable” of knowing you, He does actually know you. He sees into your thoughts, your feelings, your intentions, your falseness or genuineness, your honesty or lies, what you really are inside of your mind and heart.
If He knows my thoughts (yes!),
then,
every thought I direct to Him
is understood by Him
to be my prayer to Him.
I need not voice it audibly.
For the Lord sees every heart
and knows every plan and thought.
If you seek him,
you will find him.
But if you forsake him,
he will reject you forever.
– 1 Chronicles 28:9

Wise Quote
“When you close your doors, and make darkness within, remember never to say that you are alone, for you are not alone; nay, God is within, and your genius is within. And what need have they of light to see what you are doing?” – Anon
1 Chronicles 28:9 Excerpt: “the Lord searches all hearts and minds, and understands every intent and inclination of the thoughts.”
“As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father [have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, and understand Him; appreciate, heed, and cherish Him] and serve Him with a blameless heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and minds, and understands every intent and inclination of the thoughts. If you seek Him [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity] He will let you find Him; but if you abandon (turn away from) Him, He will reject you forever.”
Read Psalm 139 verses 1-18:
139 O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know [a]when I sit down and [b]when I rise up;
You understand my thought from afar.
3 You [c]scrutinize my [d]path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
4 [e]Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, O Lord, You know it all.
5 You have enclosed me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot attain to it.
7 Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in [f]Sheol, behold, You are there.
9 If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will lay hold of me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will [g]overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,”
12 Even the darkness is not dark [h]to You,
And the night is as bright as the day.
Darkness and light are alike to You.
13 For You formed my [i]inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, for [j]I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
15 My [k]frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.
– Psalm 139 verses 1-18
Indra Ophelia Lalsingh says
This information is very crucial to me. I am at a place (the last quarter of my life) where my soul knows things I had not known before and it is all relevant to me on my journey in this life.
