Satan blinds the eyes of seekers, those who want to know more about the Creator, those who wonder, “Could it be God who made all this?” And he takes away. Satan “takes away the word” which is sown in their hearing.
- Luke 8:12 Those by the way-side are those who have heard, and then the Devil comes and carries away the Message from their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
(WEY) - Mark 4:15 Those who receive the seed by the way-side are those in whom the Message is sown, but, when they have heard it, Satan comes at once and carries away the Message sown in them. (WEY WBS)
- Luke 8:5 “The sower,” He said, “goes out to sow his seed; and as he sows, some of the seed falls by the way-side, and is trodden upon, or the birds of the air come and peck it up. (WEY)
So much out there. So much to distract. So much to chip away at your thinking, blind you to the truth.
But God is greater than Satan. Ask God to reveal Himself to you.
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
– James 4:8
“(L)God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 7 (M)Submit therefore to God. (N)Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 (O)Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. (P)Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and (Q)purify your hearts, you (R)double-minded. 9 (S)Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 (T)Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. –James 4:6-10
The God of the Bible is so different from other gods, like the ones worshipped by Islamists, or Buddhists, or Hindus. If all these gods existed, there would be quite a conflict in the heavens! But there is only one God, and He is the loving God of the Bible.
Seek Him.

1 Chronicles 28:9 “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
IF you seek Him, you will find Him. But if you forsake God,
“He will reject you forever.”
– 1 Chronicles 28:9
Quite a chilling prospect – to be rejected for all time to come. I think it is a profitable thing, to seek God!
